Last Full Week of Kindergarten Fun

This was our last full week of Kindergarten. Routines and structure are important for our early learners so I strive to keep our daily routines in place up until the very last day of school. Routines and structure provide stability and security for students – they know what to expect and needless stress is eliminated.

Our day consists of teacher-selected activities, group learning time, individual and small group learning times and child-selected activities. It is my role to provide a space and materials that provide a range of learning experiences for the diverse learners in my classroom. It is also my role to provide a schedule that honours the learning needs and attention span of the young learners even in the last full week of kindergarten.
